A solitary one winged creature called Wing who lives in a forest is harassed by a group of oppressive crows due to him being different from them, and decides that he wants to overcome his disability and fly away from the forest to escape harrasment. He builds a catapult and a wing-substitute to accomplish this, but when he launches himself with the catapult, his wing malfunctions and he crashes into the area of the crows. The crows are about to harm him, but are lured away by a two winged female humanoid. Wing finds the creature and discovers that she is of his own kind, and that the crows have torn one of her wings off. Then as the crows come towards them, Wing gets the idea that he and the female can fly in tandem by flapping their wings while holding eachother, and they manage to escape from the forest.
